The Annual "America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride-Lake Tahoe"
AMBBR has built a reputation for not only its spectacular scenery, but also its great food and support. Boat Cruise/35-Mile Fun Ride, 72-mile ride around the Lake, and full 100-mile century are offered. This ride promotes Lake Tahoe Bikeway, the plan to build and interconnect bike lanes/trails around Lake Tahoe, and is the culmination of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America's National Team In Training spring fund raising program. 3000 participants. www.bikethewest.com

Historical Pony Express Re-Ride

Opening Day at the Lake
Lake Tahoe South Shore is kicking off a summer-long season of activities June 16th & 17th with Opening Weekend on the Lake. Two days of events will be highlighted by one of the largest geocaching treasure hunts in history, the Great Lake Tahoe Sternwheeler Race, a traditional opening day boat parade, a dance party, entertainment and the combination of 24-hour indoor and outdoor activities that will have Blue Avenue rocking.

Labor Day Weekend Fireworks Extravaganza
The Sunday Labor Day pyrotechnic exhibition explodes over Lake Tahoe after dusk for approximately 30 minutes and features a variety of patterns, lights, designs and shapes. The show features a simultaneous music broadcast that can be heard on local stations KRLT-FM 93.9 and KOWL-AM 1490.

The 88th Annual Candy Dance Arts & Crafts Fair

Nevada Day Parade
As the state with the largest formal celebration honoring its admittance into statehood, Nevada will commemorate 143 years of statehood during the annual Nevada Day Celebration, October 26-28, 2007 in Carson City. The highlight of the celebration is the Nevada Day Parade with the theme for our 2007 parade "Mysteries of Nevada - AREA 51". The parade meanders its way down Carson Street from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on October 27.
