For Snow Skiers and Riders, it’s all ‘down hill’ from there. The “Hill” is Heavenly – an appropriate name for America’s world-class winter sports mountain resort. Heavenly is huge. Nearly 50 square miles of groomed skiable terrain, covering 2 states and serviced by a network of over two dozen chair lifts, gondolas and a tram. And Heavenly is just up the road from Inn By The Lake.

There’s Sierra-at-Tahoe and there’s Kirkwood. Both superb mountains offer a wide variety of skiing and snowboarding options. In fact, snowboarding was pioneered at Sierra. And Kirkwood is a long time favorite with Tahoe locals. All 3 Mountains offer convenient bus shuttle services.

If the fast pace of the Sierra’s slopes aren’t your thing, or if you just want to mix it up – you’ll find that the Tahoe area offers an array of Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoe Trekking trails to explore. Need gear? There are a number of reliable ski & snowboard rental shops nearby.

Then there’s the thrill of a guided snowmobile safari in the Tahoe Basin’s scenic back country. Now there’s an adventure!

After an invigorating day on the slopes and trails, nothing beats a relaxing soak in our giant split-level outdoor Hot Tub.

And then it’s time for a night out – Tahoe style. South Shore offers a tempting selection of delightful dining options. And of course you’ll want to check out Stateline’s popular casinos for star entertainment, great cabaret shows and maybe a jackpot or two.

Then it’s back to Inn By The Lake for a warm and comfortable night’s sleep. Because tomorrow you’ll be ready to seize the day and do it all over again!
